Redmi 5A comes with a 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture on the rear and a front-facing 5-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Desh ka Smartphone in India on November 30. As of now, there is not much information about the handset. A teaser on the Twitter handle of Redmi India disclosed last week that the device would come with a long-lasting battery. Another hint is the tagline, which says Desh ka Smartphone clearly revealing that the device will be a cost-effective offering.
According to speculations the Redmi 5A is most likely to be launched on November 30, 2017. A major factor suggesting this probability is the use of Redmi India’s handle to tweet about the phone. This clearly reveals that the handset will be a Redmi brand. Secondly, the device will cost CNY 599 or approximately Rs.5,800, which also indicates that the phone could be the Redmi 5A.
Another factor suggesting this is the upcoming smartphone’s long-lasting battery. The device will come with a battery that can last up to eight days and will run on MIUI 9 out-of-the-box, claims Xiaomi. Earlier this month, the company had launched its new selfie-phone series, the Xiaomi Redmi Y.
The dual-SIM Redmi 5A comes with a 3000mAh battery. The phone has a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels and a pixel density of 296ppi. It is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC processor along with 2GB RAM. The device has an in-built storage of 16GB which can be expanded up to 128GB through a microSD card.
The smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture on the rear and a front-facing 5-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The device also offers support for 1080p as well as 720p to record videos. Connectivity options comprise 4G coupled with VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Micro-USB and a hybrid SIM slot.
