The latest leaks of Xiaomi’s Mi MIX 2S gives a peek into the kind of display and design the smartphone could sport.
The Internet is flooded with speculations, rumors and leaks of Chinese company’s latest flagship – Mi MIX 2S, an upgrade to last year’s Mi MIX 2. An earlier leak suggested the latest model could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 SoC, making it the first smartphone to carry this processor.
A post shared by Slashleaks shows a photograph of the Mi MIX 2S with the screen on. It seems to indicate that the device would come with ultra-thin display bezels and rounded corners.
The photograph is a screenshot of the MIUI settings screen, which confirms that the device in fact has a Snapdragon 845 processor, as was earlier speculated.
The photo also shows that Mi MIX 2S has a 6.1-inch full HD+ display with resolution of 2160×1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone may have 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
Most of the specifications had already been rumored; and the latest photo that has been leaked just strengthens those speculations.
The recently leaked photo also that Mi MIX 2S could pack in a 4400mAh battery and have a 16MP camera at the rear. There have been rumors of this smartphone sporting a dual rear camera setup and an in-display fingerprint sensor, although the photo leak doesn’t give any indication of these. The company has only recently rolling out the Face Unlock feature for the Redmi Note 5 Pro via an OTA (over-the-air) update, as part of the MIUI 9.2.4 software update.
Xiaomi had announced earlier that it plans to unveil the handset in China on March 27. We will have to wait for a couple of more weeks for confirmed details of specifications and availability of the Mi MIX 2S.
