Xiaomi Mi 6X may have a 5.99-inch display, with Full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is expected to have a vertical dual camera setup on the back, with LED flash.
Xiaomi is rumored to be gearing up for the launch of the Mi 6X. The latest mid-end smartphone would be a successor to the Mi 5X.
Images of the Mi 6X have been leaked on Weibo, showing the new model to have a design much like the iPhone X and the Mi 5X, which has been launched in India as the Mi A1.
According to the leaked images, Mi 6X would have a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device. It sports thinner bezels than Mi 5X both at the top and bottom.
The new smartphone may have a 5.99-inch display, with Full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is expected to have a vertical dual camera setup on the back, with LED flash. In contrast, Mi 5X came with a horizontal dual rear camera setup.
There are rumors of Xiaomi planning to launch Mi 6X by April this year. It is expected to be available in two color variants – Black and Gold. All eyes are on more leaks before the company officially unveils the device.
Meanwhile, the Chinese Smartphone giant is getting ready to launch new products at the MWC 2018. The forthcoming MWC (Mobile World Congress) is scheduled to be held in Barcelona from February 26 to March 1. There have been reports of the company’s new chipset Surge S2, the successor of the Surge S1 chipset which debuted at MWC 2017. The new chipset is expected to power the new Xiaomi Mi 6X or Mi A2.
Xiaomi is also expected to launch the Mi 7 at the MWC this year. Mi 7 is expected to be a bezel-less device, with a 6-inch full-HD+ display, 1440×2560 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 SoC, Mi 7 is likely to offer a dual camera setup in the rear.
