Vivo Xplay7 would have a 4K OLED display, with a 92.9% screen-to-body ratio. The device would be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC and have two variants with different internal storage - 512GB and 256GB.
Vivo’s upcoming flagship phone – the Xplay7 – may be powered by 10GB RAM, the highest ever to be available on a smartphone, according to recent leaks.
This would be a great feat by Vivo; and perfectly aligned with its goal of “continuously creating surprises for users through constant innovation,” as per the Chinese technology company’s official website. In keeping with this moto, Vivo had recently launched the first smartphone with an under-display fingerprint sensor – Vivo X20 Plus UD.
Vivo had launched Xplay6 in 2016. Now leaks on Weibo have mentioned some awesome specifications for the upcoming Xplay7, including 10GB RAM. Essentially, RAM (Random Access Memory) is storage for holding data and reading and writing to your smartphone’s internal memory or SD card. It keeps all your operations running simultaneously and helps multitasking.
According to the leaks, Xplay7 would have a 4K OLED display, with a 92.9% screen-to-body ratio. The device would be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC and have two variants with different internal storage – 512GB and 256GB, apart from the 10GB RAM which has caught everyone’s eyes.
The phone is expected to have a dual camera setup in the rear, with Dual IMX Sony sensors offering 4X optical zoom. It would have an under-display fingerprint sensor.
Although there has been no official announcement, rumors suggest Xplay7 to be launched in February or March; and to be priced at around $500 (approximately ₹31,900). In November last year, the company had launched the Vivo V7 in India, with a 24MP front camera, priced just shy of ₹17,000.
