The Xperia XZ2 Compact may not have a 3.5mm headphone jack as was earlier speculated. It would come with a rear fingerprint scanner.
As Sony gears up for the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018, a prototype for the Xperia XZ2 Compact has been released on the Xperia Blog.
The US FCC certification website had already listed a model with dimensions matching the Xperia XZ1 Compact, which resulted in speculations around the launch of its successor.
The Xperia Blog shows a picture of the Xperia XZ2 Compact next to a Xperia Z5 Compact. The Xperia XZ2 Compact shows a curved bottom and slightly smaller bezel on the top of the screen.
Images of the phone’s sides shows a volume rocker, power button and a camera shutter button. The Xperia XZ2 Compact is rumored to come with a 5-inch size and run Android Oreo out of the box.
Sony is expected to launch several other devices at the MWC 2018. These may include Xperia XZ Pro (with a 5.7-inch OLED 4K display, 18:9 aspect ratio, dual rear camera setup, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage), Xperia XZ1 Premium (a 4K display, Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage), Xperia XZ1 Plus (5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 845 SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage) and Xperia XZ1S (5.2-inch full-HD display, Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage).
