Panasonic Launches Lumix GH5S With 4K Video Support in India

Lumix GH5S can do 4K video recording in cinema at resolution of 4096x2160p. It can capture 14-bit RAW images with 0.07 seconds focus speeds, 12fps burst shooting and 8fps continuous autofocus.


During the latest CES, held in Las Vegas last month, Panasonic had unveiled its Lumix GH5S camera to the world. The device was touted as the world’s first high-precision cinema, supporting 4K recording, designed especially for low-light shootings.

The brand has now launched this much-awaited cinema in India at a hefty price of Rs.1,84,990. It is designed for professional cinematographers and videographers, with the highest ever image sensitivity and quality video footage functionality on a Lumix series shooter.

 

Lumix GH5S: Features and Specifications

The device sports a rugged look, with a magnesium alloy full diecast front and rear. The top frame is splash-proof and dust-proof and is said to withstand temperatures down to -10 degree celsius. The company also offers a wide range of 31 lenses that can be purchased separately.

The camera flaunts a 10.2 MP high-sensitivity digital MOS sensor, with the Dual Native ISO technology. The tech allows up to 51,200 ISO recording in low light conditions. Lumix GH5S can do 4K video recording in cinema at resolution of 4096x2160p. It can capture 14-bit RAW images with 0.07 seconds focus speeds, 12fps burst shooting and 8fps continuous autofocus.

Lumix GH5S is compatible with Time Code in/out, allowing easy synchronization of multiple cameras. Connectivity options include HDMI Type-A terminal, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and USB-C Gen 1 interface.

Multiple aspect ratios of 4:3, 17:9, 16:9 and 3:2 are supported by the sensor on photos and videos. The device sports a dual SD card slot and a high speed OLED screen with 100% field of view. Focusing options include face-eye recognition, tracking AF, 1-area AF and pinpoint AF.

There is an Omni-directional joystick along with dual dials. The latest device also comes preinstalled with HDR Hybrid Log Gamma and Panasonic’s V-Log L along with professional grade exposure tools.

The Lumix GH5S is now available at all the Panasonic stores across India.
