The three variants of the Oppo F5 are said to come with minimal bezel designs, with 6-inch Full HD displays, offering resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The standard F5 is expected to come with 4GB of RAM, while the F5 6GB, as the name suggests, would come with 6GB RAM, along
with internal storage of 64GB, which is expandable to 256GB with a microSD card. The devices will also feature a fingerprint scanner and facial recognition software for unlocking the phone, placed on the rear of the handset.
Of course, the key feature really is the dual camera sensors in the F5 and F5 6GB, placed on the front of the device, while the F5 Youth is expected to have only a single camera sensor in front, and will be the most affordable variant among the three.
The dual camera sensor variants will come with a 20MP camera sensor on the rear, with LED flash, while the Youth variant is expected to have a 16MP camera sensor on the rear.
What sets these devices apart is the pre-loaded AI feature, which is said to help users touch-up the photographs clicked with these smartphones, using the AI Beauty feature, which can even recognize skin type and tone, age, gender and more. This feature is pegged to improve self-portraits manifold.
Rumour also has it that the F5 variants would be powered either by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 or a Snapdragon 660 processor, and powered by a 4,000mAh battery. The devices are likely to be available in two colour options of Red and Black. The teaser leaked a few days ago stated that these variants would first be launched in India and Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar.
For now, all these speculations are just that, being based on leaked posters and rumours. We will have to wait for Oppo’s Philippines and India events to get a real view of what these phones hold in store for us.
