New Gaming Smartphone Xiaomi ‘Blackshark’ Surfaces on Benchmarking Sites

Xiaomi Blackshark smartphone has recently been spotted on some important benchmarking sites, offering some insight into the features.


‘Blackshark’ is the code name for the new gaming smartphone being developed by Xiaomi. This is also the name of the new gaming company recently launched by Xiaomi and the new smartphone is likely to be a product from this subsidiary. Xiaomi Blackshark: Specifications

The phone is likely to run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. It is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC.

Blackshark could come with 8GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It is expected to support a full HD+ display, with resolution of 1080×2160 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9.

The smartphone has received 2452 single-core scores and 8452 multi-core scores on the Geekbench app. It has also received 270,680 scores on the AnTuTu benchmark site.

Xiaomi is currently gearing up for the launch of the Mi MIX 2S on March 27. This would be a successor to the Mi Mix 2 and could have a notch in its upper right corner, which would house the front camera. The phone has been seen with a vertical dual-camera and a fingerprint sensor on the rear. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. It may support a 5.99-inch OLED full HD+ display with 8GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage. The predecessor of this smartphone, Mi Mix 2, had an almost bezel-less display. There might be a 16MP camera at the front of the phone. It might have a 4400mAh battery.

The Mi MIX 2S is scheduled for launch in China. There are no reports of its availability in the Indian market.
