TP-Link has launched its new Neffos N1 in Malaysia. The phone comes with a metal build that the company claims has passed a torsion endurance test 500 times and a 10cm drop test 16,000 times. The latest smartphone is already available for sale in the Malaysian market for MYR 1,099 (approx. Rs.18,200).
Neffos N1 runs NFUI 7.0, which is based on Android Nougat. It is a dual-SIM device and has a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The screen offers resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. Neffos N1 comes with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor, which has a capability of unlocking the device in 0.2 seconds, with its fast algorithmic ability. The sensor is oil and water resistant.
The smartphone is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 SoC, clocked at 2.5GHZ. It comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.
Neffos N1 has a dual rear camera setup with two 12MP Sony IMX386 image sensors. These cameras come with dual-LED flash. On the front, the device has an 8MP camera with 86 degrees wide angle lens. The phone is a delight for capturing vivid images, with features such as studio-quality portrait mode (PDAF for portrait shots) and Bokeh effect present along with the cameras.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB Type-C, gps/A-GPS and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The phone houses a 3260mAh battery and supports fast charging. Neffos N1 is claimed to be charged up to 50% within 30 minutes.
The device has a diamond-cut mute button, and a multi-frame noise-reduction algorithm. It comes in a space-black color variant. In Malaysia, the device will be available with a 2-year warranty. There is no information regarding its availability in the Indian market yet.
