Along with Moto G6 Play, the specifications of the Moto E5 series have emerged as well. Lenovo is clearly having a tough time hiding its new launches.
Motorola has been planning to launch its Moto G6 Play for some time now. While it clearly did not launch this model at MWC 2018, held at Barcelona, Spain, its images have been leaked as it made its way to the Taiwanese certification agency, NCC. Earlier some of its specifications also surfaced on a website called Geekbench. Along with Moto G6 Play, the specifications of the Moto E5 series have emerged as well. Lenovo is clearly having a tough time hiding its new launches.
The images show that the new G6 Play will sport a design similar to that of Moto X4, with two camera sensors at the back. It will also have a 6-inch HD+ display panel, with thin bezels. The device is seen sporting a front faced LED flash in the images leaked. There is a presence of a back-facing fingerprint sensor.
Moto G6 Play will come in two variants – with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device will be powered at the core by the Snapdragon 430 SoC and run Android 8.0 Oreo.
The series will include Moto E5, Moto E5 Play and Moto E5 Plus. The entire series will likely come with dual camera setups.
The Moto E5 will sport a 5.5 inch HD display, and the Moto E5 Play is rumored to have a 5.2-inch HD display. While the E5 will have a 16MP and 5MP rear camera sensors, with a 3028mAh battery, the E5 Play will sport 12MP and 5MP sensors at the back with 4000mAh battery.
The Moto E5 Plus will come with a 5.8-inch HD+ display and a dual camera specification of 16MP and 8MP sensors at the rear. It will also have NFC connectivity and a digital compass. The device will come in two variants, one with the Snapdragon 430 processor and the other with MediaTek MT675X.
The smartphones could be launched soon, maybe within a month.
Lenovo owned Motorola recently launched the Moto Z2 Force in India, after its launch in the US in July 2017. The device which comes packed with the Moto TurboPower Pack Mod has been said to give almost 7 hours of battery backup with just 15 minutes of charging. Moto Z2 sports a dual camera setup on the back, with both being 12MP and having Sony IMX386 sensors, with an f/2.0 aperture, laser autofocus and a dual-LED flash. The front camera is a 5MP with an f/2.2 aperture, 85-degree wide-angle lens and LED flash. The Z2 Force came with a unibody design and a 5.5-inch QHD display, with resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and aspect ratio of 16:9. It screen is protected by ShatterShield.
The company had also been giving attractive discounts on its current smartphones in the Indian market, which included Moto E4 Plus, Moto X4 and Moto Z2 Play, on Flipkart just last week.
The launch of the G6 and E5 series in India has not been confirmed yet.
