Lenovo-owned Motorola is gearing up to launch its Moto G6 series sometime this year. Although there has been no official announcement by the phone maker, the recent leaks give an idea of what one can expect.
The company is expected to launch three variants in its updated series – a Moto G6, Moto G6 Play and Moto G6 Plus. There are talks of these devices being launched as early as the upcoming MWC (Mobile World Congress), scheduled to begin later this month.
The phone maker launched its Moto Z2 Force in India only yesterday.
The phones in the G6 family are expected to have a glass-and-metal design and support the new 18:9 aspect ratio.
The Moto G6 Plus, which is the topmost model in the series, will be powered by a Snapdragon 630 chipset. It is expected to pack in a 3,250mAh battery. The Moto G6 Plus could sport a 5.93-inch Full HD+ display. It is expected to have a dual rear camera setup of 12MP and 5MP rear camera, with a front camera of 16MP. Expectations are for the models to offer up to 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
The base model, the Moto G6, is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 450 and pack in a 3,000mAh battery. It could sport a 5.7-inch Full HD screen and the same cameras as the top model.
The Moto G6 Play, has a larger battery of 4,000mAh, but the processor remains the same as the base variant. It could also have lower screen resolution than the G6 and G6 Plus variants. The Moto G6 Play is expected to come with a 5.7-inch HD screen and a single rear camera setup.
