This smartphone, a successor of the V20, was unveiled first at IFA 2017. The LG V30+ offers an inbuilt storage of 128GB as compared to LG V30’s 64GB internal storage. In terms of other specifications, the LG V30+ is identical to LG V30.
A highlight of this smartphone is its curved OLED or FullVision display along with support for HDR10. Other key features include a face unlocking feature and a Floating Bar, a dual camera setup on the rear, a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC powered by Bang & Olufsen, B&O Play earphones, IP68 certified water and dust-resistant features and an MIL-STD-810G rating for shock resistance.
The LG V30+ is available in India at a price of Rs.44,990. During the launch the company had indicated that it will be available in four colours. As of now, Amazon is selling two colour variants, Silver and Black, of the premium handset. The other two variants are expected to arrive sometime later. Launch offers comprise freebies like a one-time replacement of the screen worth Rs.12,000, a wireless charger worth approximately Rs.3,000 and purchases amounting to Rs.6,400 for Beat Fever App. The free wireless charger and in-app content offer can be availed of till December 19, 2017. Amazon is also offering an additional discount of Rs.2,000 if you exchange your old device while purchasing the smartphone.
The Nano dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 7.1.2 along with the company’s UX 6.0 interface on top. The device has a 6-inch QHD+ FullVision OLED display with a resolution of 1440×2880 pixels, 638ppi pixel display and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top for protection. The LG V30+ is powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, four cores clock at 2.45GHz while the other four cores clock at 1.9GHz, along with 4GB RAM. The handset comes with a fingerprint scanner on the rear. The device measuring 151.7×75.4×7.3mm and weighing 158 grams packs in a 3300mAh battery.
The smartphone has a dual camera setup on the rear. There is a 1/3.09-inch, 16-megapixel sensor along with a f/1.6 aperture as well as a field of view lens of 71-degree. The other 1/3.4-inch, 13-megapixel sensor offers a field of view of 120-degree. The camera setup comes with dual-LED flash, laser autofocus, and has Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on top for protection. The device has a 5-megapixel front sensor offering an aperture size of f/2.2 and a wide-angle lens of 90-degree.
The V30+comes with an internal storage of 128GB which can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card. There are several options for connectivity which consist of 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB Type-C (v3.1), FM Radio, BNFC, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors include an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, a digital compass, a gyroscope, and a proximity sensor.
