Huawei has added another smartphone in its Nova series. Huawei Nova 3e was launched in China yesterday and this latest device supports dual cameras at the rear and a 19:9 aspect display.
Huawei Nova 3e is available in two storage variants. The 64GB storage variant has been priced at CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs.20,600), while the 128GB variant will bear a price tag of CNY 2,199 (approx. Rs.22,600). The model comes in three color options – Black, Blue and Rose. Available currently only for preorders, Huawei Nova 3e will officially go on sale on March 27 in the Chinese market.
Nova 3e runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0. The device sports a 5.84-inch full HD+ display, with resolution of 1080×2280 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The display has an iPhone X-like notch at the top with minimum bezels. It comes with 2.5D curved protection.
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Kirin 659 SoC, coupled with Mali T830-MP2 GPU and 4GB RAM. At the rear, the phone sports a dual-camera setup, which includes a 16MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and PDAF, and a 2MP secondary image sensor. The front camera has a 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The 24MP front camera comes equipped with AI beauty algorithms and LCD smart light fill, which will make the phone a delight for selfie-lovers. Both the rear cameras support the Bokeh effect.
Nova 3e has a 3000mAh battery, with 18W fast charging support. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner onboard. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/A-GPS, USB-Type C and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Huawei Nova 3e can be seen as a variant of the Huawei P20 Lite series. There is no information of its availability and price in the Indian market.
