Garmin Vivosport watch enables users to monitor basics such as the number of calories burnt, distance, pace, speed, steps as well as stress levels throughout the day.
The smart wearables manufacturer, Garmin, has launched the Vivosport smart activity tracker in India. The activity tracker costs Rs.15,990 and will be available online through Amazon India and select retail stores like Reliance Digital, Croma, Helios and Garmin kiosks at the Ambience Mall in Gurgaon and Vasant Kunj.
The activity tracker offers a battery life of seven days claims Garmin India. This fitness device enables users to monitor basics such as the number of calories burnt, distance, pace, speed, steps as well as stress levels throughout the day. Moreover, it keeps track of activities like running, walking, strength training and cardio workouts. In addition to this, the smart activity tracker functions like a notifier when it is connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth. This fitness tracker can be paired with Garmin’s connected app for Android and iOS users.
Vivosport monitors VO2 max actively thus enabling users to know their exact fitness levels. The VO2 max is measured to indicate the level of oxygen pumped into your blood while exercising. The higher the oxygen level, the better the endurance and fitness levels of a user during a workout, according to the company.
The Vivosport is one of the few fitness devices to offer a built-in GPS according to Garmin. This water-resistant tracker for fitness buffs also comes with an in-built heart rate monitor system. Moreover, the activity tracker has a touchscreen display. Though the Vivosport tracker does not sport any buttons there are several smart notifications such as auto uploads, automatic software updates and music controls.
The Vivosport activity tracker from Garmin competes with Samsung’s Gear Fit 2 Pro, an advanced GPS-enabled fitness tracker which costs Rs.13,590. To recall, Garmin launched the Vivoactive 3 smartwatch last month in India at a price of Rs.24,990.
