Alcatel has announced the launch of its POP4 10 4G LTE tablet in India as a Flipkart exclusive. The model unveiled at the CES 2018, held last month in Las Vegas.
Alcatel is a French smartphone brand that’s licensed to China’s TCL. The latest tablet went on sale at 12am on February 16. In November last year, Alcatel had launched the A5 LED in India and unveiled the Alcatel 7 at a launch event in New Delhi.
The Alcatel POP4 10 tablet comes with a preinstalled learning app that has NCERT books for all classes. Available in English, Hindi and Urdu, the books are accessible offline.
The Alcatel POP4 10 tablet comes with a 10.1-inch full-HD display, with resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. The tablet is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC, with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. It also offers 5GB of Onetouch Cloud storage support.
The latest device runs Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It features an 8MP back camera and a 5MP front camera. The tablet packs in a 5830mAh battery, which is claimed to provide up to 30 hours of talk time.
The single-SIM tablet offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, Wi-Fi Direct, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Alcatel POP4 10 tablet measures 259.2x156x7.955mm and weighs 449 grams.
Speaking at the launch event, Regional Director at Alcatel India, Praveen Valecha, said, “Premium design and high performance are two of the most sought-after features by a tablet user. This tablet is designed to cater to the requirements of our consumers…I am sure the Indian consumer will love our latest offerings.”
The Alcatel POP4 10 tablet is available in two color options – Dark Grey and Silver. It has a price tag of ₹10,999.
