Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact display dimensions mentioned on the FCC website points towards a display of more than 5 inches, with an aspect ratio of 18:9.


Sony is gearing up to unveil its latest smartphones at the upcoming MWC 2018, one of which could be the successor to its Xperia XZ1 Compact phone. There are speculations of the latest device sporting a display with an aspect ratio of 18:9.

Scheduled to be held in Barcelona, Spain from February 26 and March 1, the Mobile World Congress (MWC) is the world’s largest gathering for the mobile industry, where leading manufacturers showcase their latest smartphones, tablets, smartwatches and more.

 

Xperia XZ1 Compact Successor

Sony’s latest device has been passed through the US FCC certification website, with the model number PY7-24118Q. The dimensions mentioned by the company matches that of the Xperia XZ1 Compact, launched in August 2017.

According to a GSMArea report, the display dimensions mentioned on the FCC website points towards a display of more than 5 inches, with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The new device could have slimmer bezels than the Xperia XZ1 Compact.

 

Other MWC Launches by Sony

There have also been rumors of Sony unveiling other phones at MWC 2018. These include:

Xperia XZ Pro: This device is expected to sport a 5.7-inch OLED 4K display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is likely to have a dual rear camera setup and the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Xperia XZ1 Premium: This model might sport a 4K display and be powered by a Snapdragon 845 SoC, with 6GB RAM, and up to 128GB storage. It is expected to run Android 8.0 Oreo.

Xperia XZ1 Plus: This is expected to have a 5.5-inch display and have a Snapdragon 845 SoC, with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It could run Android 8.0 Oreo.

Xperia XZ1S: This device could have a 5.2-inch full-HD display and be powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC, with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It is expected to run Android 8.0 Oreo.
