Vivo V7 has a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon SoC along with 4GB RAM and internal storage capacity of 32GB, expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card.


Vivo is gearing up for the launch of its new dual camera smartphone Vivo V9 in the Indian market on March 27. According to the teasers seen so far, this will be the company’s first smartphone to have an iPhone X-like notch on the front. The snapshots on Twitter and Instagram also show a thin bezel-less design and a rear mounted fingerprint sensor.

 

Details of Vivo V9 And Other New Launches

According to some industry sources, this device might be priced around Rs.25,000 and have a 24MP selfie camera. The device might sport a FullView display. This will be in similar lines to Vivo V7, although Vivo V7 does not have a dual camera at its rear.

The Vivo V7 has a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon SoC along with 4GB RAM and internal storage capacity of 32GB, expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. The device also has a rear camera of 16MP with flash.

Earlier the company had introduced its first concept phone Vivo APEX with half-screen in-display fingerprint scanning technology at MWC 2018. The Vivo APEX also has a thin bezel-less design, probably the thinnest so far, with its scree-to-body ratio of more than 98%. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and will have 4GB RAM. The huge display screen in this device serves as an earpiece and a loudspeaker. The company has used sound cast technology to enable the screen to produce vibration to emit audio through the display. Xiaomi has also deployed the Cantilever Piezoelectric Ceramic Acoustic design, to allow users to hear voice without the traditional earpiece speaker. With a screen-to-body ratio that exceeds any other device, there was a need for a new location for the earpiece.

While there is lack of clarity around availability, mass production of the device is expected to commence from mid-2018.
