Panasonic has launched the P100 in the Indian market. The new budget smartphone has gone on sale as a Flipkart exclusive.
“The P100 combines the best-in-class technology with breakthrough prices and is a great choice for customers looking for a budget smartphone,” Senior Director, Smartphones at Flipkart, Ayyappan Rajagopal, said in a statement.
The latest budget phone from Panasonic is available in four color options – Blue, Black, Gold, and Dark Grey. The company had launched the Eluga I9 in India in December last year, priced at ₹7,499.

The latest Panasonic smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor. There are two variants available – one with 1GB RAM (priced at ₹5,299) and the other with 2GB RAM (priced at ₹5,999). Both the variants offer 16GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card.
Panasonic P100 comes with an 8MP rear camera, offering LED flash. The front camera is 5MP and has a selfie flash. The handset packs in a 2200mAh battery and Duraspeed technology, which the company claims as saving “battery and data by intelligently optimising unused background apps.”
Panasonic P100 comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back. The handset measures 145x73x9.9mm and weighs 174.8 grams. For connectivity, the dual-SIM device offers Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and USB OTG.
The latest phone also features Multi-Modes for image editing, On Body Detection Mode, Bluetooth Unlock Mode, Trusted Places, Trusted Face and Trusted Voice Modes.
The Panasonic P100 will be competing with Xiaomi Redmi 5A and Micromax Bharat 5.
