The key feature of the Oppo R11s is, of course, its all-screen display, with an 18: 9 aspect ratio. The 6-inch AMOLED display will offer resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels.
While the Oppo R11s is scheduled for its official launch on November 2, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has listed the phone on its official website, ahead of the launch, opening up registrations for pre-orders of the phone in China. Given the amount of speculations and leaks that preceded this listing, we already know quite a bit about the device. What the listing has done is confirm many of the expectations, although the price is still undisclosed.
The key feature of the Oppo R11s is, of course, its all-screen display, with an 18: 9 aspect ratio. The 6-inch AMOLED display will offer resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. However, being bezel-less, this phone does not have a physical Home button on the front. The device will be available in three colour variants, Champagne, Black and Red.
With a fingerprint scanner placed on the rear of the device, the Oppo R11s is rumoured to be powered by a Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor, and is likely to come with 4GB RAM and inbuilt memory of 64GB, which can be expanded with a microSD card. It is expected to have a 3200mAh non-removable battery, with VOOC support for fast charging.
The smartphone is said to run on the Color OS, based on Android 7.1 Nougat, although what is most exciting about this device is its twin cameras on the rear, which is visible in the images uploaded on the company’s official website. While one camera has a 20 megapixel sensor, the other has a 16 megapixel one, along with dual LED flash and aperture of f/1.7. The camera setup supports 2X optical zoom, along with several features, such as Portrait Mode and Qualcomm Spectra ISP. The front camera has 20 MP sensor for video chatting and selfies. It also comes with an LED flash.
With regard to connectivity, what can be seen from the images is that the Oppo R11s has a micro-USB port, a 3.5mm audio jack, speaker grill, as well as an input mic at the bottom and a secondary microphone on the top. In addition, the smartphone is expected to support WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz & 5GHz), 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and GLONASS. On the right of the device are the power button and SIM slot, along with the volume rocker.
Of course, Oppo has been very silent when it comes to revealing any specification. Given the amount of leaks this phone has seen, the company might be trying to hold on to some things so that customers have at least some surprise element.
Since the company has not announced the price of the R11s, experts are basing their expectations on the price of the Oppo R11 and R11 Plus, which were priced at CNY 2,999 (about ₹28,450) and CNY 3,699 (about ₹35,100), respectively.
Oppo had recently announced that it intends to launch the Oppo F5 in India on November 2. This phone is expected to be released in three variants, with differing RAM and internal storage capacity. While the F5 also has a 6-inch Full HD display, with a 1080 x 2160 pixel resolution, the battery is more powerful at 4000mAh.
