Oppo reveal the smartphone to have a bezel-less design. It will likely have a 6.2-inch full HD+ display, with an aspect ratio of 19:9.
Oppo is planning to unveil its latest smartphone, Oppo F7, in the country on March 26. The company has started handing out invites for the launch event in Mumbai, which will be attended by popular Indian cricketers Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and R. Ashwin.
Oppo F7 comes as a sequel to the Oppo F5 which was launched in 2017. It seems that the company is doing away with the ‘F6’ branding. The F7 will likely come with Artificial Intelligence (AI) features and an iPhone X-like notch on the screen.
Recent teasers released by the company reveal the smartphone to have a bezel-less design. It will likely have a 6.2-inch full HD+ display, with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The device could be powered by a Snapdragon 670 processor or a MediaTek Helio P6 chipset. While the company has not released any details or specifications, the phone shows resemblance to the Oppo R15, which had come with all these features.
On the front, the Oppo F7 is expected to sport a 25MP camera with AR (augmented reality) features. The beautification technology for selfies seen in Oppo F5 and Oppo F5 Plus may also be included in the latest model. This will include real-time HDR, AR stickers, beauty modes for selfies and much more.
Before this, the company launched the Oppo A71 in the Indian market last year. Earlier this year, the price of the phone was slashed from Rs.12,990 to Rs.9,990. The smartphone has a 5.2-inch HD display, with resolution of 720×1280 pixels and the traditional aspect ratio of 16:9. It also has the AI Beauty Recognition technology in the front camera, giving users the ability to take ‘power-selfies’.
