AI Beauty Recognition Technology

The selfie-centric smartphone comes with the much touted Artificial Intelligence (AI) beauty recognition technology and facial feature optimisation technology, integrated with its huge 20-megapixel front-facing camera, with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. This camera can recognise a background light and is capable of enhancing the luminosity of portraits for better selfies. With the front camera it is also possible to click shots with a Bokeh effect as it has a Portrait mode.

The rear camera has a 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. “With more than 200 positioning spots, the F5 accentuates your facial landmarks and contours to enhance the symmetry between features like your eyes, nose, cheekbones and jawline to create the perfectly refined and natural selfie. Its beauty-iris tool ensures that your eyes will shine brighter in any photo,” the company claims.

The smartphone has a separate microSD card and supports dual Nano-SIM cards. The handset is powered by an Octa-core MediaTek (MT6763T) processor in tandem with 4GB/ 6GB RAM and runs on Oppo’s ColorOS 3.2, based on Android 7.1 Nougat.

The smartphone will be available in two variants. The 4GB RAM and 32GB storage smartphone comes in Gold and Black colours, and costs PHP 15,990 (₹20,000 approximately), while the price of the red 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant has not been announced as yet. It is expected that the pricing of both the variants in India will be nearly the same as the prices in the Philippines.
