The Chinese consumer electronics firm has not provided any official updates on the price or availability of the Oppo A71 (2018), the successor of the Oppo A71 which was launched in September last year. The price of Oppo A71 has recently been slashed in India, from ₹12,990 to ₹9,990.
Oppo A71 (2018) comes with the AI (artificial intelligence) Beauty Recognition Technology. According to the company’s website, this technology is “based on a global image database that serves as an experienced photographer, who knows your beauty and will offer the most suitable beautify effect for you.”
Oppo A71 (2018) is a dual-SIM device with a 5.2-inch HD display. The screen resolution is 720×1280 pixels and it has the traditional aspect ratio of 16:9. The latest device runs Android 7.1 Nougat and is powered by a 1.8GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor (an improvement over Oppo A71’s MediaTek MT6750 processor).
The phone comes with 2GB RAM (surprisingly, less than its predecessor’s 3GB RAM). It has 16GB internal storage, expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. The smartphone packs in a 3000mAh battery, which is claimed to deliver up to 15 hours of video playback and 19 hours of mixed usage on a single charge.
Oppo A71 (2018) sports a 13MP camera on the rear with f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash. In the front, the device has a 5MP camera with f/2.4 aperture.
For connectivity, Oppo A71 (2018) offers 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device measures 148.1×73.8×7.6mm and weighs 137 grams.
Oppo A71 (2018) comes with an accelerometer, ambient light, e-compass, and proximity sensor. The latest smartphone is available in two color options – Gold and Black.
