HMD Global recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of Nokia’s re-entry into the smartphones market. And at this juncture, it seems that the second version of Nokia 6 will figure among the first few phones which will be launched by the company in 2018. A smartphone with the model name TA-1054 has cleared the TENAA certification recently in China. It is mandatory for phones to get a TENAA certification before being sold in China. Though TENNA’s listing does not disclose anything regarding the upcoming smartphone, a NokiaPowerUser report claims that the model will be the Nokia 6 (2018). According to the report, the model will be a dual-SIM variant of Nokia 6(2018) and is likely to come with a design language akin to the Nokia 7.
Preliminary leaks have also suggested that the upcoming Nokia 6 (2018) will have a bezel-less 18:9 display. This aspect ratio has been a conventional feature in most of the phones launched this year. An aspect ratio of 18:9 also indicates that the device will have on-screen buttons instead of capacitive keys. The Nokia 6 (2018) is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor with 4GB RAM and an internal storage of 32GB. Moreover, it is expected to sport a dual-camera setup at the rear with Bothie features.
According to rumours, HMD’s latest smartphone, Nokia 9, is likely to be launched along with Nokia 8 (2018) in China on January 19, 2018. It is probable that both the smartphones will be powered by Snapdragon 835 processors and will run on Android Oreo out-of-the-box. The Chinese website MyDrivers has also leaked a screenshot that shows the prices of the upcoming Nokia 9. The screenshot discloses that the 6GB RAM variant will cost CNY 3,699 (approximately Rs.36,000), whereas the 6GB RAM variant will be priced at CNY 4,199 (roughly Rs.40,900).
