It is highly likely that the Moto X4 is going to be released at the IFA 2017 that is taking place in Berlin, Germany. This is because a booth with the title “Moto X4” has been seen at the venue where the event is going to take place. The launch of this device has been widely speculated since May of this year, with the current final launch date being fixed as the 2nd of September.
Roland Quandt, who is a famous leakster, has posted an image of the Moto X4 booth on his Twitter handle. In the image, the booth has not been set up completely and the Moto X4 was not present in the image as well. The Facebook Live event which is due to take place in the Philippines has been titled the “hellomoto X”. This serves as further proof about the launch of the Moto X4 because there is no other Motorola X phone that is in line to launch.

The device is expected to have a 5.2-inch full-HD AMOLED display with the protection of Gorilla Glass 3 on the top. It is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor while Adreno 508 GPU will be present for the graphics. The Moto X4 will have a battery of a 3,000mAh battery with 25W Turbo Charging. It is said to run on Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.
The camera of the device is expected to be a dual camera with cameras of 12 megapixels. One camera is expected to have a monochrome sensor while the other one is expected to have a RBG sensor. The front of the device could have a wide angle camera of 16 megapixels which can be used for video calling and taking selfies. Both the rear and front end cameras will have an aperture of F/2.0 each.
It is also expected that there are going to be two variants to the phone. The first variant will have 4GB RAM with 32GB internal storage while the second version will have 4GB RAM with 64 GB of internal storage. The internal storage of the device is expected to be expandable. The device will also most likely have a 3D glass back while the front of the phone will have a metal unibody.
