Micromax is gearing up to launch its new product, Micromax Bolt Q3001, according to its official website. The company has not given any details regarding the launch date, the price or availability of the product, but according to sources, the product might not be available for sale in India for the time being. It is being planned only for international markets.
The phone has a dual-sim facility and is supported on Android Marshmallow Out-Of-The-Box operating system. Adorned with a 4-inch TFT display, having colour depth of 16.7 million colours, Bolt Q3001 runs on a 1.2GHz Spreadtrum SC-773 quad-core processor, paired with 4GB RAM.
The device also features a dual-camera system with a 2MP camera at the front and a 5MP sensor at the rear with 4x zoom and LED flash. The inbuilt storage capacity of the phone is 32GB, which is further expandable up to 32GB.

The phone comes equipped with apps like Hotstar, Quickr, Chaatz, Snapdeal, News Hunt, Paytm and Askme by default. It also has a few Opera Max games out of the box.
Micromax has already released a range of smartphones in Indian market in the recent past. It recently launched Canvas Infinity Pro, on December 4. The Infinity Pro brings to the masses a phone with edge-to-edge screen feature at just Rs.13,999. In fact, the Canvas Infinity series was the first phone from an Indian manufacturer to sport a 18:9 aspect ratio on screen. The Canvas Infinity Pro offers 64GB of in-built storage which can be expanded up to 128GB through a micro-SD card slot. The dual-SIM device runs on Android Nougat which can be upgraded to Android Oreo. Before this, the brand launched the Micromax Bharat 5 in India, at a price of just Rs.5555. The phone was introduced with a punch line of “The Power Of 5”. The device is packed with a 5000mAh battery capacity, with OTG support and boasts of 500 hours of standby time. It supports dual camera, both at 5MP. Bharat 5 was a recent addition to its series of low cost, high-end features phones, which included Bharat 1 and Bharat 2, both launched in 2017. Within 50 days of its launch, Bharat 2 had reportedly sold over half a million units.
Micromax is contributing to the Digital India plan, with its affordable phones for the masses. In the past, during the launch of Bharat 1 and Bharat 2, it had paired up with service providers like Vodafone and BSNL, to provide attractive cashback offers and other schemes to its customers.
It is to be seen if it will launch the Bolt Q3001 in India, to continue to further the cause of universal connectivity.
