LG X4 will be available in South Korea for now via their domestic carriers. The phone will come in black and gold color options.
LG launched its new LG X4 smartphone variant on March 4, 2018, in South Korea. The company which recently launched its V30 ThinQ model at MWC 2018, now adds a new phone to its X series of handsets. The phone comes equipped with the company’s digital payment platform – LG Pay, along with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It is currently priced at KRW 297,000 (approx. Rs.17,800).
The device comes with a 5.3-inch HD display and runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box. At the core lies the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset, accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage, expandable up to 2 TB via a microSD card.
The LG Pay feature will allow users to authenticate financial transactions using the fingerprint sensor or by entering a password. Camera specifications of LG X4 include a rear 8-MP camera sensor with LED flash. On the front is a 5MP sensor. The finger touch feature of the phone allows users to take screenshots or selfies just by tapping the rear fingerprint sensor.
Connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, FM radio, NFC and Micro-USB. The smartphone measures at 148.6mm x 75.1mm x 8.6mm and weighs 164gms. It will run on a 3000mAh battery. The smartphone has HD DMB support for mobile television viewing. This feature will be helpful in places where signal coverage is limited. Users can just plug their headphones into the 3.5mm jack, and listen to music or watch television.
The device bears much resemblance to the LGX4+ which was released in January. With its LG Pay technology; the company hopes to give competition to devices with similar platforms, like the Samsung Pay technology.
