Lenovo S5 has curved design with a reflective metal body.
Lenovo is likely to announce its new smartphone, Lenovo S5, at a launch event scheduled for March 20. The company’s VP, Chang Cheng, shared teasers on Chinese social media platform Weibo, suggesting the launch of this mid-range product.
For some time now, the company has been giving regular hints on its upcoming product. Just last month, Cheng gave us a glimpse of the lower half of the device, which suggested a curved design with a reflective metal body. The images shared by the VP clearly indicated the plan to add a product to the S series. In another teaser, it is being hinted that the phone might come equipped with ZUK’s Android skin. There is also a probability that this will be a very thin device, packed with a huge and powerful 6000mAh battery.
Prior to this, Lenovo had launched the Lenovo K8 and K8 Plus in September last year. Lenovo K8 came with a battery capacity of 4000mAh, and a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera. It boasted of premium features like Dolby Atmos and TheatreMax technology, at a reasonable price of Rs.10,999. The presence of a fingerprint scanner at the rear gives the device extra security.
The Lenovo K520 was recently seen on TENAA, the Chinese certification site. The handset will sport a 5.65-inch Full HD+ display, a dual camera setup at the back and an 8MP front camera. K520 packs in a 3000mAh battery and will run Android 8.0 Oreo. The device was listed in three color variants – black, red and silver.
As for Lenovo S5, more details can be expected on the launch date. There is no news yet of its availability in the Indian market and there are no indications of price.
