What Makes this Budget Phone Stand Apart?

The unique look of this smartphone is afforded by its “painting finish,” along with a free back panel. Karbonn Mobiles went so far as to claim that this device offers the right mix of style and performance but at a competitive and affordable price. The best part of this phone is its battery, with is a 4,000mAh one, offering an incredibly long battery life on a single charge, much higher than other phones in the same price range, with a whopping 400 hours of standby time, compared to other phones that offer a maximum of 16 hours.

The Karbonn Titanium Jumbo runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, while being powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, with 2GB RAM and internal memory of 16GB, which can be expanded to 64GB with a microSD card. The phone has a 5-inch HD IPS display that offers resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

In terms of the cameras, the rear camera has a 13MP sensor, and comes with LED flash and aperture of f/2.0, along with various features that help the user take better pictures, such as continuous shot, Panorama shot, geo-tagging mode, night mode and face detection. The front camera comes with an 8MP sensor. The phone also has an in-built video and photo editor.

This dual SIM device offers multiple connectivity options too, such as GPS, A/GPS, Bluetooth, FM Radio, micro USB and OTG support, as well as Wi-Fi, WCDMA (3G) and 4G VoLTE support. The latest offering from Karbonn Mobiles also comes with a free back panel add-on in the box.

Earlier in October, Karbonn Mobile had partnered with Bharti Airtel to launch the Karbonn A40 Indian, a new 4G smartphone. This device is priced at an effective price of ₹1,399, with the buyer needing to pay ₹2,899 at the time of purchase, with Karbonn offering cashback of ₹1,500 over a span of three years. The cashback is only valid for customers who also get recharges of a minimum of ₹169 per month from Bharti Airtel for 36 consecutive months. The A40 Indian competes with Micromax’s Bharat 1 and 2, as well as Reliance Jio’s JioPhone.

With the Indians market for both budget smartphones and 4G-enabled devices heating up, the competition also seems to be keeping pace. And with all these companies vying for market share, it is the consumer who gets to reap the benefits in the form of reduced prices for great features on mobile phones, along with better network plans and performance.
