Karbonn, one of the major smartphone makers in India, has launched the K9 Music 4G. This latest budget phone for music buffs offers dual speakers. The handset comes at a price of Rs.4,999 and is available in two colours, Champagne and Blue. Buyers of this phone can avail a Saavn Pro subscription for three months. To recall, the company had introduced the Titanium Jumbo in October. This phone was launched at a price of Rs.6,490, and has a front-facing 8-megapixel sensor. The K9 Smart Selfie featuring an 8-megapixel front camera and an inbuilt photo and video editor was launched in November 2017.

 

Sports A 5-inch TFT display

This smartphone has a 5-inch TFT display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and a ppi density of 196 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core SoC coupled with 1GB RAM, which is good enough for regular usage. The K9 Music 4G packs in a 2,200mAh li-ion battery, which is capable of offering up to eight hours of backup on a 2G network, according to the company. In terms of storage, the phone offers an inbuilt storage of 16GB which is expandable up to 128GB through a microSD card.

As for optics, the smartphone has an 8-megapixel primary camera which comprises features such as an autofocus, a High Dynamic Range mode and LED flash. The device comes with a 5-megapixel secondary camera for clicking selfies and making video calls. In terms of connectivity, the device comes with several options like dual SIM slots, Wi-Fi, VoLTE, GSP, OTG support, Bluetooth and a dedicated slot for microUSB 2.0. Sensors on board comprise an accelerometer, a proximity sensor and an ambient light sensor. The K9 Music 4G measures 143.75×71.55×9.2mm and weighs 170 grams.
