The Elyt e6 comes with a 5-inch HD display offering a resolution of 720x1280 pixels along with a 2.5D curved Dragontrail glass on top for protection.


Domestic smartphone manufacturer Intex Technologies has launched the ELYT e6 in India. With the launch of ELYT e6, the company has expanded its portfolio of budget smartphones. The new smartphone comes at a price of Rs.6,999 and will be sold exclusively via Flipkart from December 15.

This smartphone has been designed specifically for selfie-buffs. Nidhi Markanday, Director of Intex Technologies, said in a press statement, “Our special Elyt series launched this year has been well received in the market and going with the consumers’ response we have launched the ELYT e6 model, designed for the online platform for tech-savvy youth.”

 

2.5D Curved Dragontrail Glass for Protection

The Elyt e6 comes with a 5-inch HD display offering a resolution of 720×1280 pixels along with a 2.5D curved Dragontrail glass on top for protection. This glass is claimed to be six times tougher than a regular glass panel. The device is powered by a 1.25GHz 64-bit Quad Core MediaTek processor along with 3GB RAM and offers 32 GB of onboard storage. The internal storage can be expanded up to 128GB through a microSD card slot. The handset runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and offers support for dual-SIM. Other connectivity options include 4G coupled with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and USB OTG.

 

8 Megapixel Selfie Camera on the Front

When it comes to imaging options, the Elyt e6 has a 13-megapixel camera on the back. This camera offers an auto-focus lens coupled with LED flash. The 8-megapixel camera on the front comes with software features which enhance the quality of portrait selfie images. The Elyt E6 offers a large 4000mAh Li-Po battery which can deliver up to 16 hours of talk time and more than 12 days of standby time after a single charge.

The Intex Elyt e6 will be available in Black colour. It has a plastic body, measures 146.4 x 72.5 x 9.8 mm and weighs 167.5 grams along with the battery. The smartphone’s lower panel comes with audio grills. The device sports broad bezels on the top and bottom. The top bezel houses the front camera, flash and speaker grille whereas the bezel at the bottom sports the home button, navigation button and back button.

Intex Technologies had launched two budget smartphones, the Aqua Jewel 2 and Aqua Lions T1, in India last month. The Aqua Jewel 2 costs Rs.5,899, while the Aqua Lions T1 is priced at Rs.4,999. The company had also launched the Elyt e7 earlier this year. This smartphone, priced at Rs.7,999, come with a 5.2-inch HD display and a 4020mAh battery, which is slightly larger than the battery being offered by Elyt e6. Intex had also launched the Elyt Dual in November this year. The Elyt Dual made its debut in the country at a price of Rs.6,999. This affordable smartphone offers dual cameras for clicking selfies. It has an 8 megapixels camera and a 2 megapixels camera at the front.
