Huawei has launched its all-new Y9 (2018) in Thailand. With an edge-to-edge display, this latest smartphone comes with dual cameras at the rear as well as on the front.
Although the price and availability of Huawei Y9 (2018) have not yet been officially announced, the new smartphone is expected to be priced at around €200 (approximately ₹16,000).
This launch comes amid speculations around the company’s P20 series of smartphones, including the Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Lite, which are expected to be unveiled at an event scheduled for March 27 in Paris. All these handsets boast the iPhone X-like notch as well as dual camera capabilities.

The latest model is powered by the Kirin 659, with a clock speed of 2.3GHz. It has 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, expandable up to 256GB via a microSD.
Huawei Y9 (2018) runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0, making it one of the few phones outside of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL to run Google’s latest Android 8.0 Oreo software. Huawei first used this OS with its Mate 10 model.
Going by the trend, Huawei’s latest model offers high camera capabilities. The smartphone has dual camera setups on the front and back. The back has a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera, with LED flash. The front has a 16MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera. Moreover, it comes with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor and weighs 170gms.
Huawei Y9 (2018) packs in a large 4,000mAh battery. The dual-SIM phone offers usually connectivity options like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. This latest Huawei handset comes in three color variants – Black, Blue and Gold.
