HTC U11 EYEs smartphone comes with a 6-inch Super LCD 3, full HD+ display that offers an aspect ratio of 18:9 and screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection.
HTC officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphone on January 15, the U11 EYEs. An upgrade on HTC 11+, this new smartphone will be available in Taiwan from January 25 and in China from February 1. Currently, the smartphone is available for pre-orders. The Taiwanese electronics major has priced the HTC U11 EYEs at NT$14,900 or CNY3,299, which equate to about ₹32,500. HTC has, however, not revealed the pricing of the device for India.
Launched with the USP of having the largest ever battery for an HTC smartphone, this latest flagship device comes with a 3930 mAh battery, and will be available in three colour choices of Black, Silver and Red. This is also the first smartphone from the Taiwanese company that comes with a bezel-less display and dual selfie cameras.

With dimensions of 157.9 x 74.99 x 8.5 mm, the HTC U11 EYEs also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and an IP67 rating, meaning that the device is water and dust resistant.
Powered by the latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and an Adreno 510 GPU, this smartphone has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB with a micro SD card.
One of the most interesting things is that this device runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo OS, out of the box, topped with HTC’s Edge Sense UI. Just like the U11 and U11+, the U11 EYEs also comes with squeezable bezels, with sensors integrated with Edge Sense to allow users to launch apps via long press. Moreover, this feature can be customised through the settings.
As mentioned earlier, the USP of the HTC U11 EYEs is that it is the Taiwanese electronics majors biggest ever battery for a smartphone at 3930 mAh. It also comes with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 for rapid charging.
In terms of connectivity, along with the dual SIM functionality, the device comes with 4G LTE, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, USB 2.0 Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 & 5GHz)), Beidou, VoLTE, 3G and NFC. The sensors included in the phone, apart from the fingerprint sensor on the back, include Accelerometer, Compass Magnetometer, Gyroscope and Ambient light sensor. It also has HTC USonic with Active Noise Cancellation to enhance the audio experience.
This flagship HTC smartphone features a 12 ultrapixel primary camera that comes with features like 4K recording, Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF), dual LED flash, f/1.7 aperture, optical image stabilisation (OIS), and more. Another interesting feature is that you can record slow motion video.
On the front, the smarphone has a 5mp dual camera setup with aperture of f/2.2, 80 degree wide angle lens, HDR and real-time Bokeh mode. The front camera can also be used to unlock the device.
With all that it has to offer, the HTC U11 EYEs certainly seems to be a value for money device.
