Alcatel 3C comes with a 6-inch HD+ IPS LCD display, with resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The screen has a 2.5D curved tempered glass for protection.
Alcatel launched the Alcatel 3C in Italy yesterday, a device that it had unveiled at the CES 2018, along with a couple of other smartphones.
Italian site Android HDblog indicated Alcatel 3C is available in three color variants – Metallic Black, Metallic Blue, and Metallic Gold, and at a price of €129.99 (about ₹10,200).
In November last year, Alcatel had launched the A5 LED in India and unveiled the Alcatel 7 at a launch event in New Delhi.
The device packs in a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8321 SoC processor, with 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. It comes with the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
Alcatel 3C has a bezel-less screen and a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel, just below the primary camera. It has an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and flash, and a 5MP fixed focus camera in front. For connectivity, the dual-SIM device offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, and GPS.
This budget offering from Alcatel packs in a 3000 mAh battery, measures 161 x 76 x 7.9 mm and weighs 169 grams.
Alcatel also has plans of launching another smartphone with an 18:9 display – the Alcatel 3V – in the upcoming weeks.
