OnePlus 6 will run Android 8.1 Oreo and will likely sport a vertical dual-camera setup in the rear.
The soon-to-be-launched OnePlus 6 is expected to come with an iPhone X-like notch, just as a number of high-end smartphones from other brands are hitting the market. There are reports of an upcoming major upgrade for the OnePlus 5T and the new model, expected to be launched in June, could be called OnePlus 6.
The phone is being claimed to have obtained the AnTu Tu benchmark, and its scores are being touted to have surpassed those of the new Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S. The CPU information in the latest images reveals that the device will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. In January, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau had commented that the next flagship phone from the company will likely have a new processor.
The display of the device is expected to have a full HD resolution, with an aspect ratio of 19:9. This will be taller than the 18:9 aspect ratio of OnePlus 5T. The handset will have 6GB RAM, and inbuilt storage capacity of 64GB, which is a tad disappointing, with leaks of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S suggesting 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
OnePlus 6 will run Android 8.1 Oreo and will likely sport a vertical dual-camera setup in the rear. In addition, the device night also come with a rear glass panel to allow for wireless charging. There are possibilities of a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a bezel-less design. The new aspect ratio is compensating the loss of space due to the notch design.
A number of phones are coming up with the notch-design, taking cue from iPhone X. These include the LG G7 and Huawei P20 among many others. OnePlus has always had a history of including the latest chipsets in its flagship phones.
