The device will sport a metal unibody design and will come with a full-screen display; with an aspect ratio of 18:9.
The Lenovo S5, which is likely to be launched on March 20, is coming with quite a few attractive features, if the official teasers are to be believed. The company has recently revealed some more specifications regarding its new smartphone.
The device will sport a metal unibody design and will come with a full-screen display; with an aspect ratio of 18:9. There will be a dual-camera setup at the rear, which might support an in-built portrait mode with Bokeh effect. Along with a face beauty mode, the camera will also notably have a Face-Unlock feature and a fingerprint scanner.
All these specifications have come into light after Chang Cheng, VP at Lenovo, uploaded a teaser in a post on Weibo, the Chinese social media platform. Just last week Cheng had released the launch date and other specifications of the smartphone on the same site. The image had shown a red color variant of the smartphone, and its lower half was revealed in the post. The image suggested a curved design with a reflective metal body. In his posts, Cheng had touted the phone to be a stiff competitor to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, and hinted that the phone might come equipped with ZUK’s Android skin and a very powerful battery of 6000mAh.
In the recent post, Cheng hinted at S5 being powered by an AI smart engine and a secure payment option likely to be incorporated in the device.
This latest smartphone from Lenovo will possibly be priced at a mid-range figure. There are however no reports from the company regarding its price and other details. There have also been no announcements regarding its availability in the Indian market.
