Motorola Moto X4 Smartphone will be available in two colours, Super Black and Sterling Blue. This Smartphone is IP68 water and dust resistant with Corning Gorilla Glass on top for Display protection.
Motorola’s mid-premium handset, the Moto X4, was launched today. The smartphone’s 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage variant is priced at Rs.20,999, whereas the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant costs Rs.22,999. The device will be available in two colours, Super Black and Sterling Blue, and can be purchased exclusively from Flipkart as well as Moto Hub stores.
Flipkart is offering an additional discount of Rs.2,500 on exchange of any old device and a discount of Rs.3,000 on the exchange of select Moto phones. Moreover, buyers can avail a discount of up to 10% with HDFC’s credit and debit cards. In addition to this, there is a buyback guarantee offering 50% of the total value of the smartphone, and several EMI schemes.
The Moto X4 is the first phone which runs on the new Snapdragon 630 SoC, according to claims made by Lenovo. It is also one of the few smartphones to offer an in-built support for Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant and Google Assistant. Another highlight is that the device is IP68 water and dust resistant. What this means is that the handset can be dunked in nearly 1.5 meters of water for half an hour.
Both the variants of the Nano dual-SIM X4 run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The smartphone comes with a 5.2-inch full-HD LTPS IPS display offering a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and 424ppi pixel density. The display also has Corning Gorilla Glass on top for protection.
The handset is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC along with up to 4GB RAM. The smartphone’s internal storage capacity is 32GB, which can be expanded up to 2TB via the microSD card slot. The X4 comes with a 3000mAh battery which can last for an entire day. Moreover, the device supports fast charging.
The dual rear camera setup is the most touted feature of the device. This setup consists of a 12-megapixel (dual autofocus) sensor offering an f/2.0 aperture as well as 1.4-micron pixels. The 8-megapixel (ultra-wide angle) sensor provides a 120-degree field view, 1.12-micron pixels and an f/2.2 aperture. The setup also comprises a dual-LED flash which offers colour correlated temperature or CCT and phase detection auto focus (PDAF).
Moreover, there are several other features such as ultra-wide-angle shots, a professional mode, depth detection as well as depth effects, an option for selective focus, a selective black & white option, an option for background replacement, landmark or object recognition, an option for spot colour, panorama mode, an option for scanning barcodes, QR codes and business cards, slow-motion video and an option for best shots. Moreover. the X4 sports a front 16-megapixel camera offering flash support, an f/2.0 aperture as well as 1-micron pixels. This camera comes with features like selfie panorama, an adaptive low light mode, beautification mode, face filters and professional mode.
Connectivity options include NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, dual band with 2.4GHz and 5GHz, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G LTE, GPS, FM radio and GLONASS. On board sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, an ambient light sensor, magnetometer and proximity sensor. The home button also has a fingerprint sensor. The X4 also comes with a new 3-finger screenshot gesture as well as Moto Key, which is an in-built password manager. The latest Bluetooth 5.0 support allows the device to sync with four headphones or speakers simultaneously.
