The laptop comes with Dell's InfinityEdge FHD display, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, on a 15.6-inch screen, and provides a wide angle of up to 170 degrees for viewing.

  • Dell launched its premium XPS 15 laptop in India on October 26, 2017, almost 11 months after the notebook was first unveiled in January, during the CES 2017.

InfinityEdge FHD Display

  • The laptop comes with Dell’s InfinityEdge FHD display, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, on a 15.6-inch screen, and provides a wide angle of up to 170 degrees for viewing. The company claims that the battery of this notebook offers the longest life (approximately 19 hours and 30 minutes) in the 15-inch notebook category. In fact, the XPS 15 is ENERGY STAR rated, due to its power efficiency.
  • The laptop is powered by a seventh generation Intel i7-7700HQ Quad-core processor and features a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 processor with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM. The notebook’s backlit keyboard comprises a precision touchpad that offers options for zooming, pinching and panning. Moreover, the device has a touchscreen and offers a palm rest, made out of carbon fibre.
  • The striking chassis of the 1.8 kilogram laptop is made from a single block of aluminium, to enhance sturdiness. As for the sound system, the device supports a stereo speaker with dual microphones as well as a high definition audio, comprising Waves MaxxAudio Pro.
  • In terms of connectivity, the Dell XPS 15 is equipped with a Thunderbolt 3 multi-use port, which allows users to charge the laptop, besides connecting to multiple devices. This port also offers support for up to two 4K displays.
  • Currently, the notebook is available in four variants, based on different versions of Windows 10, as well as varying internal storage and RAM.
  • The Dell XPS 15 has a starting price of Rs. 1,17,990, and can be bought both online and offline at Dell stores, Croma and Reliance Digital outlets. The Rs. 1,17,990 variant comes with a 56Whr battery and offers 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD, while running on Microsoft Windows 10 Home.
  • The 1,22,990 variant offers the same RAM and storage, while running on Windows 10 Pro. The Rs. 1,38,990 variant has 16GB RAM and storage of 512GB SSD, comes equipped with a 97Whr battery and runs on Windows 10 Home.
  • The most expensive variant, which is priced at Rs. 1,43,990, shares the same features, except for the fact that it runs on Windows 10 Pro. It is possible to configure all the four variants with up to 32GB of RAM.
