Acer has launched its lightweight Swift 5 laptop in India. The laptop weighs only around 970grams and is constructed made with a combination of magnesium-lithium alloy at the top and bottom, and magnesium-aluminum alloy at the palm rest. The Taiwanese laptop maker had launched the Chromebook and Chromebox laptops in the country earlier this year.
The laptop has a 14-inch full HD IPS Pro display, with resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Acer’s proprietary Color Intelligence technology further enhances the screen brightness, color and saturation. The gadget is powered by the 8th generation Intel core i5 and i7 processors and comes paired with 8GB DDR4 RAM and 512 GB SSD storage. It has graphics support from Intel UHD Graphics 620.
Acer Swift 5 houses a battery of 4670mAh with a backup power of almost 8 hours. It has one USB-Type C (3.1) port, two USB 3.0 ports and a backlit keyboard. Other connectivity options include an HDMI port, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi through 802.11ac wireless antenna and 2×2 MIMO.
The dimensions of the laptop are 328.9×228.1×14.9mm. Weighing only 970gms, Acer Swift 5 is being touted as one of the lightest laptops in the world, showcasing the brand’s engineering and design capabilities. The laptop has certification to run Skype for business and comes with Cortana support. It also comes with Acer’s Two Harmony technology with Dolby Audio premium sound speakers. Users can also add extra security through its ‘Windows Hello’ fingerprint sensor on-board.
